Jury Awards $50,000 for Retaliation

Jerome Dobson obtained a verdict under the Missouri Human Rights Act on behalf of a female, African-American paramedic who alleged that she was retaliated against by one of her supervisors after complaining about discrimination in her employer’s promotion practices. A jury in the City of St. Louis awarded the plaintiff $50,000 for emotional distress that she suffered as a result of the retaliation.
